Entry#5: The Possible Future...

My reaction to this Wall- E clip was that I was wondering if our society would ever end up like that.  I was wondering that because we as a society already have our faces in our electronic devices and not enjoying the sights.  I believe that we as a society are going to end up like this in the next 50 years and that we will not be able to enjoy our lives in an active way like hiking, biking, and hanging out with friends at the mall and enjoying eachothers company.  I know that by having a device that you could just skype them but it is not as fun than being in person and getting lunch or out to a movie.  I also see that everyone is always on their devices and that they don't even go outside.  Kid's now a days just stay inside and play on their X box one's and other drvices, not having a normal childhood by going outside and hanging out with your neighbors and playing Dead or Alive with the football.  The fun thing about having a childhood is to get as many memories with your friends and of course do stupid things and get scars from those stupid actions also.
When I watched the video, I noticed that everyone was not enjoying the sights or even yet enjoying the pool.  Even tho some people are hanging out in the area no one was swimming and enjoying eachothers company but of thoses who they were talking to on their chairs.  Another thing that I noticed was that the chairs had lanes that they were on and if someone feel off, then that area would be blocked off until assastance came and put that individual back in their chair.  The last thing that I noticed was that when Wall- E was tring to get to Eva, he turned off the ladys computer screen and when it turned off she was amazed with the sight that she saw of the ship.

Entry#4: Some Guitar Stuff!!!

Hey everyone!!!  In this blog entry I will be talking about the history of the eletric guitar just to change things up a bit and to learn somehting new!  The eletric guitar has always fanicated me and how it works.  It is just a beautiful instrument with a wicked way to make different tones with the proper tools that today has to offer.
As far back as history can take us, music has always been a part of  the human race.  The Indians used drumbs and other small instruments to communiate to the other villages and to also warn the other villages if there was trouble coming.  They would also use their instruments to do group celabrations.
To counteract these problems, inventors experimented with solid- body guitars. Les Paul created "The Log," a guitar whose strings and pickups were mounted on a guitar body carved from a solid block of wood.  The first recordings of electric guitars were made in 1933 by Hawaiian music artists such as Andy Lona.  With advancing technology, more sophisticated musical instruments became possibe, and during the 20th century, peaking in the 60's and 70's the electric guitar became an institution for musicians and a battlefield of competition among the great guitar players of the era.
The definiton of a eletric guitar and how it works would be, "An electric guitar is a fretted string instrument that uses a pickup to convert the vibration of it strings- which are tipically made of metal, and which occures when a guitarist strums, plucks or fingerspicks the stirngs- into electrical impulses.  The vibrations of the strings are sensed by a pickup, of which the most common type is the magnetic pickup, which uses the principle of direct electromagnetic induction.  The singal generated by an electric guitar is too weak to drive a loudspeaker, so it is plugged into a guitar amplifier before being ent to a loudspeaker, which makes a sound loud enough to hear.  The outpt of an electric guitar is an electric signal, and the signal can easily be altered by electronic circuits to add "color" to the sound or change the sound.  Often the signal is modified using effects such as reverb and distortion and "overdrive," with the latter being a key element of the sound of the electric fuitar as it is used in blues and rock music."  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_guitar

Heres a picture of a electric guitar with the names of the different components that it has.

Heres a video of the greatest top guitar solos that show the different types of sounds that the electric guitar can make.  Thus, fair warning, these solos are awesome and if you are into some old- school music then you will love this video and it ends with my favorite solo by the Eagles, Hotel Califorina ending solo.  Note, you do not have to watch the whole thing its over 14 minutes long but otherwise,  Enjoy!!!

Here is a picture of myself with my new electric gutiar it is a Laguna and was used when I got it but works great!!! It is very fun to play and the songs that I can play would be, Two Pink Floyd songs, Wish You Were Here, and Comfortably Numb.  Seether, Broken, and Breakdown.  3 Days Grace, Never Too Late and I Am Machine and I am learning Riot.  I can also play John Legend, All Of Me.  One song I have been working on is Guns and Roses, Sweet Child Of Mine.
I hope you enjoyed and let me know what you think! (:

Entry#3: American Muscle Car Evolution

Hey everyone!  In this blog intery I will be talking about a technology that we use on a daily basis, the automobile.  Since the early 1900's we have been using the automobile as a mode of transportation.  It all started with Henry Fords Model T that was produced on October 1st, 1908.  Ford came up with a way of manufacturing more affordable automobiles with the assembly line method.  Between 1908 and 1927, Ford would build some 15 million Model T cars, causing the love we have for cars today.  Todays automobiles have evolved from Fords Model T to many different types of cars and trucks that we drive today.  The technology has become more sophisticated by  maintaining and fixing the cars in our local shops and dealerships. Everyone loves the old 1964- 2017 Mustangs, I know I do!!!  The Ford Mustang has evolved significantly and still has that old school feel to it in the newer models.  I believe that the technology within every make and model of the automobile will grow more technologically sophisticated, even with the Hot Rods that are out and about still rolling, would need to keep up to date with the basic tune ups to enable them to run, while looking their best!  This video that I will be showing is the Ford Mustang evolution and how over the years the car style has changed and with every year, of course gets more technologly sophisticated and that would involve the crash protection feacture with air bags and making the body not as stout so that the car could absorb the shock, making the car crumple if it is in an accident.

Here is a video of the Ford Mustang Evolution!!!

I hope you enjoyed!!! Let me know what you thought!

Entry#2: Out Of The Past!!!

Hey everyone! I'm back with a new post, this time I will be talking about a Blast From The Past!  This is about when I was in high school, now people have many different experiences within high school.  Myself, I had a Blast! During the summer of my freshman year I decided to try out a program.  The program was Thunderbirds Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps or NJROTC for short.  Yes it was a military program but the difference with this program was that it didn't pay you or put you into the military, it was not a recruiting center.  It was a regular high school program, and was quite different from all the other classes and clubs.  During that summer I went to the ROTC Emergency Responce class called CERT which was taught by the Phoenix Fire Department.  The class was 3 days long and we learned how to respond to natural disaster scenarios by rescuing dummies from under big pices of debris that was an earthquake simulation.  We got to learn how to use a fire extinguisher, and also CPR and First Aid!  Going to that summer course, I got to meat most of the unit including both instructors, which made me decide to fully join the program.  During Freshman registration, I got my uniforms for the ROTC program and some books for my other classes.   I also volunteered during the registration with ROTC to obtain some community service hours for the unit.
Once school started I was very excited to go to my second hour class which was ROTC!  When I walked in I was amazed on how the classroom looked and how welcoming the upper classmen were.  I went to my seat up in the front row and sat down.  The Platoon Commander took roll and did the daily announcements.  Then one of the instructors came up to the front of the room, GOOOOOOOOODDDDD MOOOOOORRRRNNIIINNNNGGGGGGGGG CLLLLLAAAASSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! He said with a cheering and booming voice, which made me jump a bit.  The upper classmen responded to his greeting which made me jump a bit once more.  He introduced himself, "Very Good, Very Good, My Name Is Chief Warrant Officer Christopher J. Houston, United States Navy Retired!"  "I am happy to see ALL these NEW FACES!'  "WELCOME! WELCOME!"  He said that with such excitement and enthusiam I couldn't help but smile at that.  He went on with his daily announcements while we all listened in fascination of the likes of him.  After he was finished with his announcements, he started to talk about ROTC and what it was about and how the program was not for everyone but its worth giving a shot for at least a semester.  Then we went over the classroom syllabus and rules and that took us acouple of days to get through along with the TTO's or the Training Time Outs and Physical Exams.  After class I walked to my next one and I couldn't help but think that I was going to enjoy my time in high school espically when I am in my favorite class.
Not knowing how fast days turned into weeks and weeks turned to months and months turned into semesters and then BOOM! it was the end of my first year already!!!  I had learned sooo much in the first year that I was very excited about the next years to come!  Summer flew by and it was already the first day of my Sophmore year!  This time I was the upper classmen welcoming the rookies.  Once the bell rang we took our seats and the Platoon Commander took roll and once again went through the daily annoucements.  Then Chief Warrant Officer came up to the front of the class and with his booming command voice he said, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD MOOOOOOORRRRRRNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG CLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAASSSSSSSS!!!!!'  Making the rookies jump as I did on my first day, and we responded, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDD MOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRNNNNNNNIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG SIIIIIIIIRRRRRRR!"  With our loud and proud command voices, once again making the confused rookies jump.  I couldn't help but chuckle at that, and once again he went through introducing himself to the rookies and went on to explaining what ROTC was and how its not for everyone.  After class, I headed to my next class and thought the same thing when I was a rookie, "Now I was the upper classmen and now I have to set the example, and be there for the new cadets".  Then it was about 3 months later and it was uniform wearing for all hands and was the rookies first uniform wearing and inspection.  We fell in and prepared to inspection.  After inspection we did Columbs into the classroom for debriefing.  It was awesome being the upper classmen and being able to teach the rookies how to stand at Attention and keep bearing along with teaching them how to put together a military unifrom.  I wanted to do the best I could to teach them what I was taught when I was a rookie.
I have lots of memories from being in ROTC for all 4 years but I have to say it was awesome and I learned soooo much in that 4 years.  Next I will be talking about the ROTC's Military Ball but, it was so much better than PROM.  The reason why I say that is because they FEED YOU, which is VERY IMPORTANT! Espically since you will be dancing around with your fellow cadets all night.  My first Military Ball was just AMAZING!!! I mean it was just the best dance I have EVER went to!  We had Chicken Cordon Bleu for dinner, and for dessert we had CHEESECAKE!!! The best I have EVER had!!!  It was a very formal dinner with the missing man cerenomy where we would have the XO and the CO come up to give the speech and is followed by a moment of silence, then we would eat and chatter with eachother till it was time to dance off the food.
The next year I was the units recruiting officer and I had more responsibilites on my plate on top of school work.  I knew I had a huge responsibility to uphold and that I had to give it my 100% dedacation! I was ready for the challenge and ready for the responsibilities of the upcomming school year.
That year went by faster than the other two did! Just WOW how time flies!  This is me at my Junior year Awards Night Ceremony already my THIRD ONE WOW!!! I just have one more left!  This uniform I am wearing is the Navy Service Dress Blue Uniform which only Chief Petty Officers and above wear only.

Next thing I know it is already the end of my Senior year and now it is a year later and is awards night once again.  I was thinking "WOW my last NJROTC Awards Night!" Time flies too fast never take that for granted! Enjoy it as long as you can I deffently enjoyed my time in High School because I was a NJROTC cadet and was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.
Here are some more pictures of my Senior Awards Night that was a very emotional night for me.  These pictures are of myself getting ribbons and a 2nd place metal for top sales. I have earned 3rd Place Sales my Freshmen year and the other three years I have earned 2nd.  After the awards are handed out to the company,  The Seniors line up on the right side of the stage and a line of cadets are on the center of the stage with sords, which is called the Honor Guard.  The Honor Guard raises their sords after the cadet requests permission to Go To Shore.  That is the way a senior cadet graduates the program.  Then a whistle will sound and the cadet goes to the Honor Guard, saluting while walking  under the swords, towards their future.

This concludes my post I hope you guys enjoyed my Blast From The Past!

Entry#1: My First Blog Rodeo

Hey everyone, this is my first blog so I decided to look at some other blogs out on the web and found afew that were interesting.  I liked some and others I didn't like as much.  One I personally didn't really care for was a home renavation blog.  The reason why I didn't like it was because it was poorly organized and didn't have many pictures of what was going on within the blog its self and was boring!  The other blogs I looked through were A LOT better than the first one I saw.  The other one I saw was a TMZ blog and if you watch the TV show, there is always something interesting to see what celebrities do on their free time.  Most of the time they tend to humiliate themselves which is hilarious and it also NEVER gets BORING!!! Thats always the good part to always change it up a bit, even with some comedy to brighten up your day.  Lastly, my favorite one I saw was a classic car and truck blog!  It was awesome because I got to look at classic cars and trucks and read about them.  Espically since I was to become a mechanic, and love cars and trucks, this blog drawed my attention and kept it.

Just for fun since im on the topic of cars and trucks, I Love Monster Trucks!!! My next door neighbor had this BEAST it was a 1996 Turbo Diesel Ford.  When it was running, you could hear it from it way up the street and that was when it was only idling! When I would hear it fire up I would run outside to see it drive off.  As a kid I thought it was the coolest thing ever to see it drive off and I loved the sound of it.  These pictures are from 2009 and it was after one of the big monsoon storms hit and was later in the afternoon. A perfect time to get some good shots of this MONSTER!!!
I hope you guys enjoyed reading my post I will be back soon with some new posts.  Enjoy the pics of this BEAUTY!!!!! (:
